What is Larazotide?

Tight junction modulator peptide that competitively inhibits zonulin binding to claudin-2, claudin-15, and ZO-1 proteins in intestinal epithelial cells, preventing the PKC-dependent phosphorylation cascade that opens paracellular tight junction gates. Stabilizes occludin and ZO-1 scaffolds at the epithelial barrier, reducing intestinal permeability (leaky gut) and preventing bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) translocation into the bloodstream. Developed for celiac disease but applicable to any condition involving gut barrier dysfunction and systemic immune activation.

How to Use Larazotide

Take orally 3x/day, 15 minutes before meals. Acts locally in the gut — minimal systemic absorption. 12-week courses.
